This week saw the return of the Sunshine Kitchen, who will be taking over the Craigtoun Cafe again on Mondays and Wednesdays right through until the end of March 2025. The working relationship between the Friends of Craigtoun and the Sunshine Kitchen began when the latter took over the Lodge Garden to grow produce back in the spring of 2022 and progressed to them running the Craigtoun Cafe on Mondays during the closed season from that autumn until the following spring. This time last year they increased to a 2-day operation and, based on the success of that model, they have signed up for the same again this year. We look forward to enjoying their delicious home-grown produce in the weeks ahead and would encourage others to support this great community project by coming along and trying it out for themselves.
