Yes, Craigtoun is dog-friendly – we only ask that you clean up after them! Dogs should be kept under control at all times and must be on a lead around the children’s play area. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome in the Craigtoun Cafe.
Do you have to book to visit Craigtoun?
No. Craigtoun is a public park and open 24/7. We have no means of controlling the number of people entering the park and therefore there is no need nor facility to book in advance to visit.
Are there parking facilities?
Yes. We have a large car park with dedicated disabled bays and an overflow parking area inside the park itself for busy days. Parking is free but donations are appreciated and there are donation boxes at the main gate.
Do you have to pay to come in to the park?
No. Entrance is free and there are many free facilities to enjoy. You only pay if you want to use our seasonal attractions which run from Easter to October.
Can you book / pay for tickets in advance?
Individual tickets and day bands can only be bought from the Ticket Office on the day of your visit. Annual Passes can, however, be purchased on-line.
Do you do concessions?
No. To keep our prices as low as possible for everyone, we have only one set of prices, which are applicable for everyone aged 3 and over.
When are you open?
The park itself is always open – 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. To find out when our seasonal attractions are running, please visit our opening hours page.
Are there catering facilities?
Yes, we have a cafe - for opening hours and more details, please visit our cafe page. During the high season, we also serve refreshments from the Snack Shack, which is located at the Bouncy Castle area.
Can you have a barbecue in the park?
Yes. There are dedicated BBQ stands located in the picnic area close to the Adventure Playground. You can set up a BBQ elsewhere but we ask you please to be respectful of other visitors, not to place it directly on the grass and to dispose of it responsibly afterwards – beside a bin, not inside one!
Are bikes allowed in the park?
Yes, but please be mindful of pedestrians, dogs, trains and tractors! We have a rack for you to secure your bike, which is located close to the Ticket Office.
Is there a cash machine in the park?
No, but the Ticket Office and the Craigtoun Cafe both take card payments as well as cash.
Is Craigtoun accessible by public transport?
The Moffat & Williamson No. 64 runs between St Andrews and Glenrothes bus stations and stops beside Craigtoun Meadows Caravan Park. From the stop it is roughly a 15 minute walk up the hill to Craigtoun Country Park.
