BASE visit to Craigtoun

BASE (Blind Activities Support Events) was founded to support people with sight impairment who are resident in North East Fife by offering a monthly programme of social activities. We were delighted that they chose Craigtoun for this month's outing, which took place on Thursday 7th September. Their visit to Craigtoun included tea & biscuits on arrival followed by a guided tour of the gardens and rides on Puffin' Billy and the Rio Grande before rounding off with lunch in the Craigtoun Cafe. To find out more about BASE, you can visit their website: www.basefife.org.uk If you would like to organise a similar outing to Craigtoun for another community group, please contact us at: enquiries@friendsofcraigtoun.org.uk

Eric's Story

Several years ago, I was advised to attend an NHS sponsored fitness class in Cupar as I had health problems and it was there that I met Tom, a volunteer at Craigtoun Country Park, and Kyff Roberts, who was the Chairman of the Friends of Craigtoun Country Park.  I live just five minutes away from the Park in Strathkinness but had not visited the place in over 30 years.
