New Chair Person

After 4 ½  years as the Chair of Friends of Craigtoun, Doug Stephen has decided to step down as Chair. During his 12 years on the board, Doug has been instrumental in making the park the success it is today. We are delighted to say that Doug has agreed to remain on the Board and we will continue to gain from his vast experience and knowledge of the park.

The Directors are pleased to announce that Margaret Lees has been appointed as the new Chair of Friends of Craigtoun.

Margaret has fond memories of coming to Craigtoun Park when she was a child. After spending 4 years at St Andrews University, Margaret moved away from the town only to return in 1990. Following her retirement from 25 years in Financial Services, she joined the board of St Andrews Community Trust, which she chaired for 4 years. While on the Community Trust board she became familiar with the good work done by Friends of Craigtoun and was delighted to join the Board in July 2023.

“I look forward to working with the Board on continuing the good work to ensure that Craigtoun Park remains as a sustainable, accessible recreational and educational facility available to the community. – Margaret Lees, Chair”
