As we get ready for the 2025 season at Craigtoun to get underway this weekend, we regret to advise that there will be no boating at Craigtoun this year.
Visitors to the park recently will have noticed that things are afoot at the Dutch Village and we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on what is happening. Fife Council have joined forces with the Scottish Government to cover the cost of repairs to damage, caused by neglect, amounting to approximately £600,000. This has been contracted out to Marshall Construction and the large pond has already been drained in order to facilitate works that are due to commence later in April. Repairs will be made to the outer wall and the rendering will be renewed with other remedial works to be carried out at the same time.
We apologise for any disappointment that the lack of boats this year will cause but it is outwith our control. We will, however, be introducing a new activity, Touch Tennis, to keep visitors active in the park - watch this space for more details coming soon.
