Making Your Mark & Drawing From Nature

Fife-based artist, Pete Glen, will be conducting 2 workshops - 1 for families and 1 for adults only - on Thursday 7th May, which is a local schools in-service day. Workshop Title: Making Your Mark (suitable for 5 yrs+)

Date / Time: Thursday 7th May / 10 am - 12 pm

Ticket Price: Adults - £15 / Children - £7.50

Location: Party Tent 2 (behind the Craigtoun Cafe)

Workshop Description: 
Pete will introduce and lead a session on drawing and easy printing. After a foraging session in the park for objects and having the opportunity to capture phone images, Pete will support individuals to create and print images. All materials provided.

Workshop Title: Drawing From Nature (suitable for 16 yrs+)

Date / Time: Thursday 7th May / 1 - 4 pm

Ticket Price: £20

Location: Party Tent 2 (behind the Craigtoun Cafe)

Workshop Description: 
Pete will introduce and lead a session on drawing and sketching on the topic of nature and will show examples of artwork/images produced by himself and others around the topic . After a foraging session in the park for objects and having the opportunity to capture phone images, Pete will support individuals to create pastel and charcoal works on paper. Following quick exercises with pencil/charcoal and pastels to create initial images, ideas will be developed to allow participants to have a completed artwork by end of session. All materials provided.  

About the artist:  
Pete Glen is a well-established arts educator with over forty years’ experience in community arts, youthwork and teaching in higher education. Pete enjoys leading and supporting a diverse range of groups, classes and workshops with all ages and the emphasis is always on fun, informal learning and just having a go!
