Craigtoun Café is a well-established café at the heart of Craigtoun Country Park, visited by around 250,000 people each summer season. The park is leased from Fife Council and run by the charity Friends of Craigtoun. The café is open throughout the summer, offering ice cream, hot and cold drinks, hot and cold food to eat in or take away. A Snack Shack operates in the “amenity” area, close to bouncy castles, etc.

Craigtoun Country Park is a great place to work. Our beautiful 47 acres of parkland, family activities and historic gardens put happy smiles on the faces of our visitors and our staff – especially when the weather is good! As Catering Manager, you’ll work daytimes only (no antisocial evening work, except, perhaps, for an occasional event like Halloween). You’ll have free parking all day and will be entitled to a 10% staff discount on all purchases in the café. You’ll also participate in the Park Management Committee, playing an active role in helping the Friends of Craigtoun to sustain their success.

Eric's Story

Several years ago, I was advised to attend an NHS sponsored fitness class in Cupar as I had health problems and it was there that I met Tom, a volunteer at Craigtoun Country Park, and Kyff Roberts, who was the Chairman of the Friends of Craigtoun Country Park.  I live just five minutes away from the Park in Strathkinness but had not visited the place in over 30 years.

Peggy's Story

When I heard that Craigtoun was in danger of closing and that a determined group of people were going to try and ensure that didn’t happen, I was only too glad to help in any way I could.  Like many people in this area, I had known and loved Craigtoun all my life and the thought of losing this gem didn’t bear thinking about.
