Join us this September for our first ever Pets in the Park event when we will be celebrating all things furry, feathery, scaly and maybe even a little bit scary!
This event will be free for members of the public to attend but we also have 2 ticketed activities:
Pony Pamper Sessions with Alba Therapy Ponies and a Mini Zoo experience with Animal Man Mini Zoo. Both of these activities have been kindly sponsored by McLaughlin & Harvey and are available to book now via our website - just click on the links.
Clatto Clan Flyball Club will be in attendance throughout the event and will be conducting 20-minute formal demonstrations at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.
Flyball is a fast-paced dog sport, where the dog will race over four hurdles and collect a tennis ball from the Flyball box and return to handler. They work in teams of four and run in relay - two teams of four dogs will race against each other. Clatto Clan is the longest running British Flyball Association registered team in Scotland after being established in 2001. The team are really excited to join Pets in the Park to perform three Flyball Demonstrations across the day as well as offer a chance to have a go at Flyball with your own dog! Pop over and see them to learn more about the fast-paced sport of Flyball.
Following the Mini Zoo Experience, Animal Man will be setting up a Petting Zoo from 12 - 3.30 pm that will be open to all. (Sponsored by McLaughlin & Harvey and Fife Cat Shelter) The Petting Zoo works like a pets corner with a great variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. 12 different species of animals, operated with one animal handler.
