Korean Fir

Our Korean Fir (Abies koreana) is located on the grassy area north of the Putting Green.

  • Small to medium size evergreen conifer

  • A species of fir native to the higher mountains of South Korea

  • Compact conical outline with dark green, flattened, needle-like leaves, white beneath

  • Cones are 4 - 7 cm long, turning dark purple-blue before maturity

  • Very popular ornamental tree in parks and gardens in temperate climates, grown for its foliage but also for the abundant cone production, even on young trees.
