The Friends of Craigtoun is an established, inclusive, community-led charity. We have a small team of permanent staff and a large number of seasonal workers who work efficiently and effectively together to deliver the full range of the services in Craigtoun Country Park. We also have a large pool of volunteers who assist in many tasks.
We are now looking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team within our busy Café.
The seasonal nature of the park means that experience in a very busy kitchen is essential for this role. You must be able to use initiative, be self-motivated and work as part of a team. Weekend working is required but currently no evening work is involved
Job Type: Permanent, hours worked will vary with the season and will be discussed at interview.
Salary: £9.00 – £9.50 / hour. Additional benefits of the role include the holiday entitlement, which is 26 days per year, pro rata. The government’s auto enrolment pension scheme is in place.
Line Cook: 1 year (Preferred)
Basic Food Hygiene (Preferred)
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Recording food temperatures
Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
