Craigtoun Charity Day
Sunday 27th August
1000 – 1700 hrs

Traditionally our Charity Day has been an opportunity for fellow local and national charities to raise awareness of their causes and also to do some fundraising.  This is still very much the case but we have also invited our regular craft stall holders along and will be providing some entertainment.  It promises to be great fun and, with free entry, free parking and free entertainment, you won’t find a better value family day out!

Rex is Back!
The dinosaurs were a big hit at last year’s Charity Event, so we have invited Party Box Aberdeen back again this year and T-Rex will be roaming the park at the following times:
1130 – 1200 hrs
1330 – 1400 hrs
1530 – 1600 hrs

There will also be the opportunity to do fossils digs in the sand @ £4.00 per dig and children can take the kit home with them along with a mini dinosaur. They then get the chance to meet a baby Triceratops as well as go through to the Dino Petting Zoo. Should parents just want their children to visit the petting zoo there is a £1.50 charge for this. These charges are payable directly to Party Box who will be set up opposite the main event area which is located behind our cafe.

Story Telling
Craigtoun favourite, Sheila Kinninmonth, Teller of Stories, will be back and telling her fabulous tales
from 1100 hrs. Join her in her tepee which will be set up in her regular spot, outside the Ticket Office, and prepare to be entertained!

Tribal Storm
This band of troupers will be performing an American Tribal Style Belly Dance in the main event area at
1430 hrs.  This is their first time at Craigtoun and we can’t wait to see their performance!

Spinning Displays
Artist, Fiona Potter, will be selling cashmere products and offering free spinning displays
throughout the day in her gazebo, located adjacent to the main party tent.

The Charities
Let’s not forget what the Charity Day is all about!  The following charities will be attending our event in order to raise awareness of their causes and also to raise much needed funds.  Please help us to support them by visiting their stalls – some will be located in the main party tent, others have their own gazebos.
